Hi Folks. What we have here is a beautiful 1954 Piaggio Vespa ape (Ah-pay ) Callesino taxi Full restoration in 2010 ( in Jakarta ) shipped to United States 2010, It has sat in a garage in Long Beach Ca. ever since. Bit of a barn/garage find. it suffered some vandalism. Which my shop repaired and re sprayed, Then it was sent to Mossimo's antique Vespa repair in Costa Mesa CA (who better to fix an Italian bike than an Italian Mechanic !). it was tuned inspected new battery, and test driven. The only thing not fixed ( and does work) is the turn signal / horn switch it has a crack in it. but it is the original. This bike is easily 98% original. runs excellent fires right up very drivable. has reverse. what more can I say , lights work. people just seem to love it wherever the little guy goes.Very rare piece in the US. The first mechanic that looked it over had not seen one in US since 1979, Mossimo started his shop in 1998 ? and claimed he has never seen one here in the US. A rusty unrestored example was found here in the U.S. on the TV show "American pickers " and it sold for 10k as I am being told. ( sorry I don't watch the show ) Anyway, here is your chance to own a piece of motorcycle history. Happy bidding
0 bidders must call, or maybe removed from bidding.I will happy to answer any questions
