This week I found this very nice "Special Edition" Sportsman 500 and what a machine.The 500 Sportsman is really the ATV that pioneered the large displacement 4x4 category in 1996 with fully automatic transmissions and independent suspension. They engineered them to perfection over the years and this one is one of the best. Only on 2006 thru 2009 could you pay the extra $1000 and get the electronic fuel injection. A benefit at high altitude. They are extremely tough machines and until 2011 were built on the same chassis as the 800 and way overbuilt. Built like a 1 ton truck.
