Original gel coat and very thick dune buggy body.  Not a cheap thin fiberglass body.  The finish is really nice with only a few knicks from normal wear.  Newly upholstered seats front and read, marine grade vinyl, fully adjustable, seat belts in the front only.  Diets 9-82 chrome headlights are as close to perfect as possible.  Not a speck of rust on them.  The chrome roll bar is in extremely nice conditional as well.  The shifter is a vintage and rare Vangaurd shifter.  The wheels are rare vintage Fenton Hawks.  Great condition.  The engine is a 1500 single port.  It has been recently rebuilt with about 3500 miles on it.  Runs as smooth as a sewing machine.   The transmission is a four speed, shifts as it should.  Does not jump out of gear.  The chassis is a 1955 shortened VW pan.  It is in great shape for a 61 year old pan.  It has been under coated and is very solid.  It is titled as a 1955 Volkswagen.  The title numbers and the pan numbers match.  Headlights work, tail lights work, turn signals work, and horn works.   The only thing that I know of that doesn't work is the emergency brake.  Cheap and easy fix.  I have tried to describe this car as best as I can.  I am sure I have forgotten some things.  Feel free to as any questions.  500 deposit to be paid within 24 hours of the auctions end by PayPal.  The balance is due in cash when you come to pick it up.  This car will not leave my house until I have cash in hand.  Car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells.
