For sale is a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O.  This quad ive had for about three years now and I know every square inch of it. This machine is awesome and runs very strong and well. Starts right up even in the dead of winter. Barely hold the starter button and lights right up. I have reciepts for all the parts i have replaced and fixed on the quad through out the years. It has a brand new starter, new bendix starter clutch, new starter solenoid, new voltage regulator, new rebuilt stator, new rebuilt pull start handle and recoil kit, newly replaced  CVT Drive Belt for EBS system which this quad has unlike some other Polaris quads. new rear cv joints, dust boots, and axles. New rear brake caliper, new brake pads all around, brand new All Balls suspension bushing kit for all control arms and hubs. Brand new OEM Polaris tie rods, All Balls inner and outter tie rod bushings. Brand new OEM Polaris front prop shaft fully rebuilt, Great 4 wheel drive just rebuilt front hubs, armature plates and Hillard Clutches and new Polaris Demand Drive Fluid. New replaced fuel filter and OEM fuel pump along with new fuel lines. All new fluids in engine, transmission, front transfer case and front outter hubs. I only use OEM Polaris fluids in this machine. Only a few weeks ago i had installed Mud Bug All Terrain tires to standard size on the factory rims which also kick ass in the snow and mud especially. The quad with these tires pulled out a 92 Jeep Wrangler and a 01 Ford F350 last winter in almost three ft of snow. Excellent quad starts right up also has heated grips, thumb warmer, and seat warmer that gets super hot and actually have to shut them off thats how well they work. LED light bar is included also and is a must have while night riding and snow plowing. The factory Polaris plow is a 60" full steel set up and works really well and is winch operated by the factory Warn winch that also works well. The only thing two things that do not work from day i got it on the entire machine is the rear brake which is a common problem with these machines and the speedometer never worked. That is it. This is a perfectly running, meticulously maintained, and well operating quad ready for fun in the trails or work. Quad is ready to go to a new home and i have new york registration in hand for new owner. All sales are final. No warranty or returns. This is a used atv and not advertising it as a new vehicle.
