Hello, I have a Herters Trail 1 that I believe is a 1971 or 72? I replaced the fuel filter the spark plug and put a brand new carb on it and got it to run and ride but it still needs some work to run great as it can still be a pain to start. I think it needs a new spark plug wire as the one thats on it is an original. As you can see from the photos the bike is in pretty good condition for its age and will make a great restoration project for a collector or ride it around. I think the tires are the originals as they hold air but they are not in great condition. There is no headlight or tail light and the button on the handle bars is a kill switch but im not sure it is original although it looks of the era. The tank has some dents as is shown in the photos and is missing one of the side stickers but they are actually available on Ebay for sale right now if you are looking to restore it. The bike is sold as is and I make no guarantees as to the condition of the motor or drive train as they are original and all I have done is get it running and ride it around one time and park it again. The seat looks to be original and is in really good condition for the age also. It only has a back brake and it needs to be adjusted as it will stop you but I didnt ride it at a high speed so I would test it and adjust as needed before really riding it fast.
