1980 Yamaha SRX 440 D OEM engine.This engine ran great when it was removed in 1981. A 1977 SRX 440 engine was installed in it's place and the 1980 chassis was then used for drag racing. Prior to storage, the crankcase of this 1980 engine was filled with oil and the ports were sealed off.On 5-30-2016, after 35 years, the engine was pulled out of storage and the top end was removed for inspection. The photographs show the condition of the engine upon initial disaassembly.-The bottom end
The crankcase was still full of clean oil when the top end was removed. The crank spins freely and looks great. The connecting rod bearings are shiny. The PTO crankshaft threads are O.K. Some base gasket debris fell into the crankcase during disassembly which may appear in the photographs.-The top end
The cylinders are in OEM condition and have never been molested or "ported". The cylinders look great and all the plating is in good shape. The only carbon deposits to speak of are on the pistons. The base gasket was torn during disassembly. The MAG side piston ring is gummed up from sitting.-Terms

The engine should be picked up. It is located in the NorthEast corner of Kenosha, Wisconsin, not far from Aaen Performance. I can deliver it within a 10 mile radius. If you send an engine crate to me, I can box it up.-Warranty
