Manx-Style Fiberglass Dune Buggy Shortened Pan Side Pods Rear Disc Brake Conversion Spun Aluminum Gas Tank Near-New Tires Dune Buggy is sold as is where is.  Buggy is for local pick up only in Poteau, Oklahoma.  Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.  Sold on a bill of sale, I do not have a title for this.   Not sure of the exact year, but it’s late first generation, because it has the IRS rear end and ball-joint front end.  So, that would be 1968 or later.  To me, this is the most desirable setup. Nice pan that has been shortened 14” for the body.  The previous owner was going to build a hot rod, but took his big motor and put it in another project. This is among the best-styled bodies I have seen.  Don’t know the maker, but is close to Manx style.  (Some have deep side wells or squared off noses that don't look like a Manx.  This looks similar to a real Manx.) Body is in good shape.  Will need minor body work before paint.  Previous owner did trim piece out at rear to clear carb breathers (body man can repair this missing piece). Comes with what you see in pictures: ·        Shortened rolling pan with body.  Upgraded pedals and shifter.  Cables and linkage to rear have already been shortened.  Wiring to rear is also there, but will need sorted out. ·        Nice side pods (leave on or take off, up to you). ·        Early VW motor and trans.  Not sure of year, but is small CC.  See picture.      ·        Disc brake conversion on rear. ·        Spun aluminum fuel tank. ·        Nearly-new tires (can still see factory ink on them).  Ziex 195/50R15 front and BF Goodrich Radial TAs P265/50R15 rear on chrome wheels. ·        Thick, lightweight racing seats already mounted on sliders.  (Have covers too, but need dry cleaned from storage.) ·        Front and rear nerf bars, bug headlights, old Ford teardrop taillights. Will make a nice Manx-style dune buggy.  I have seen these buggies go for $12,000 plus.  So, unlike a lot of hot rods, you can recover or make money on these if you build it smart and do the work yourself.  Nice to do a project that can grow in value. It’s also a hassle to find a good post-68 pan (without buying a whole car) and then having it shortened, because most welders haven’t been through the learning curve of shortening one of these.  So here you have the pan in hand and all the hard work done (including shortening the linkages). Bodies with pods are close to $2,000 not counting crating and shipping charges that bring the price to $2500+ for just a body. This is a great project for the guy or gal who’s handy.  Nice project for father and son, too.  Or high-school vo-tech. $300 PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of auction close.  Balance due via cash in person or bank transfer (preferred) within 7 days of auction close (no PayPal on final payment). Thank you for taking your time to look and if you have any questions please email.        Note: If you like Shooting, Hunting, Fishing, Guns, Pistols, Knives, Cars, Vintage & Military junk, Man-Cave Stuff, and some Women’s Things (shoes and coats), save me to your Favorite Seller’s List to get email updates on new items.   I have a 8x40 shipping container and 3 storage units full of junk from the last 40 years that I am trying to get rid of. I will post as much as possible in-between my search for a job (out of work). The stuff I’m selling is used and has been in my storage for sometimes up to 40 plus years and will have dust, grease, dirt, and dirt dauber nests.  Thank you for taking your time to look and please checkout my eBay junk page “Vintage Gun Rifle Pistol Fishing”.   Shipping and Returns Information: Disclaimer: I ship within 3 business days of cleared payment, and that was specified when this ad was created as my ‘handling time’ “Delivery in 2 Days”, IF shown on the ad in red, is generated by eBay shipping software that is way-overly optimistic, not me. Thank you for your understanding. Postage charged is to cover actual postage, handling, packing materials, time, car & gas, and eBay postage fees. Returns given minus 20% handling and buyer pays shipping both ways. Important, Shipments Outside the United States of America: If an international bidder, please double-check shipping cost, because it will not be discounted. Priority-mail cost will be charged for first-class international packages in some cases to cover handling and above.

Since USPS cannot track some international packages, the Buyer will bear full responsibility for local post-office delivery of the package once it ships and agrees not to hold the Seller responsible for non-delivered packages. No refund of purchase price or postage will be given for an international package that is lost or not delivered.  This is a legal and binding contract and by bidding you agree to these terms.  Again, thank you for your understanding.
